ASP Baton and Handcuff Certification is the most dynamic impact weapon and restraint training available and has been implemented by agencies in 77 countries: universal across all levels of Law Enforcement, Military and Security.
ASP is an international recognized use of force system which has been modified from current police procedures to accommodate the specific training requirements of the Private Security Industry.
Based upon a conceptual model for the use of force & teaches the ASP principles of control using the ASP Tactical Baton & ASP Tactical Handcufs. Easily remembered and effective techniques that can be used by all personnel under actual field conditions. The tactics are quickly learned, easily practiced and readily maintained long after the program is completed, training incorporates drills which simulate the stress of street encounters. ASP training retains the guard's ability to disengage or escalate.
CLASS INFORMATION
If you have a baton and/or cuffs, please bring the items to class; if not, it will be supplied. Please wear comfortable clothes. There are no refunds issued, only credit for future classes. Classes held include scenario-based instruction to simulate live situations.
A mouth guard piece will be provided to you. Students will receive a nationally accredited certificate along with an ASP Certification Card after completion of the class. Waiting time varies as we order your certification card once you complete the class.
Once certified, participants are prepared in operational use of ASP Tactical Baton & Handcuffs. The course is split into a 4-hour handcuffing class & a 4-hour expandable baton class.
This course is both physically and mentally demanding.
